WHAT IS IT?

It’s been said that a picture is worth a thousand words.
See if you can use just a couple to guess the pictures below.

Photos by Ariel Brumbaugh. Answers at bottom.

Lucky the cat

Lucky is a very intelligent — not to mention handsome cat. But don't let that mild mannered look fool you. You'll never guess his hidden talent.

Once an orphan, he was taken in and cared for by the Rut family of Bay Shore, N.Y. Needless to say he considers himself one of the family, if not the head of it.

Lucky has certain high standards. Not the usual litter box for him. He refuses to use it. Instead, beginning at four months of age, he decided to go on the toilet.

“He does everything but flush," says his owner Joan Lynne Rut. Lucky also insists on two slices of bologna, served on a paper plate each day for a snack.

But wait, it can't be just any old brand. He has his favorite and won't eat any other kind put in front of him.

I wonder what he’ll do next?

Brain Teasers

Nat and Mat find a long piece of pipe in a vacant lot. It’s wide enough for each boy to barely squeeze in and crawl to the other end.

If Nat and Mat go into the pipe from opposite ends, is it possible for each boy to crawl the whole length of the pipe and come out the other end?

Answer: Yes, as long as they don’t do it at the same time.

John is standing behind Mary and Mary is standing behind John. How is this possible?

Answer:
They are standing back to back.
