Gingerbread House Show
Nov. 23-Dec. 9–Traipse thru a magical gingerbread land w/the wonders of holidays past at Darnall’s Chance House Museum’s annual Gingerbread House Show. Maryland Christmas Show
Nov. 23-25, 30, Dec. 1 & 2–Browse the wares of some 500 artists and craftsmen at the 17th annual Maryland Christmas Show, the biggest holiday fair in the state. Fine art, pottery, furniture, quilts, jewelry, clothing, wreaths & garlands, toys and Christmas ornaments fill 7 buildings and big tops. The Holiday Foods Pavilion brims w/strudel and cookies and other baked treats, some fresh out of the oven. Norwegian Noël at Union Station
Nov. 23-Dec. 17–A towering Norwegian spruce from the City of Oslo once again stands tall in Union Station as centerpiece to the station’s 5th annual Norwegian Christmas, a gift from the Royal Norwegian Embassy. This year’s theme, Norwegian Christmas, highlights the nation’s contributions to fine art, fashion, film, cuisine, music and more in many events. Highlights: • Dec. 1 & 8: Christmas Bazaars (10-4);

Nov. 23-Dec. 16: World’s biggest portable Scale G model train display recreates a rail trip thru Norway (runs 10-7 M-Sa; noon-6 Su); • Nov. 29: Tree lighting ceremony w/DC Mayor Anthony Williams & former secretary of state Madeleine Albright (6pm); • Dec. 3-16: Gifts from Norway Ski History exhibit; • Dec. 16: Taste of Norway (noon-2); • Dec. 15: High-tech Winter fashion show (noon). Country Crafts for Christmas

Symphony Homes for the Holidays

Drum Point Lighthouse Decked
Dec. 4-Jan. 2–Tour the newly refreshed Drum Point Lighthouse (c. 1883) where it now stands in Solomons and get a glimpse of what Christmas was like for the lightkeeper and family. Grand Celebration of Light
