Wonderful Season for a Wonderful Life

Maryland Ballet Theatre Academy’s Nutcracker
Nov. 24 & 25–This is your first chance of the season to thrill to The Nutcracker, Tchaikovsky’s musical dream adventure of Clara and the Nutcracker Prince as they venture into the land of the Snow Queen and later to the Land of the Sweets where the two dance the Waltz of Flowers. Ride the North Pole Express
Nov. 24, 25, Dec. 2, 8 & 15–Ride the North Pole Express (an antique red tractor) winding its way by Santa’s Ice Palace, Gingerbread House and the magical tree where holly berry faeries dwell. Chesapeake Music Hall’s A Christmas Carol
Nov. 24-Dec. 23–Taken from the Rodgers & Hammerstein theater library, this holiday favorite tells the classic Dickens tale of Scrooge and his miserly ways. Revel in holiday cheer as Scrooge sees the error of his ways with the help of ghosts from the past, present & future and a boy named Tiny Tim. Washington Ballet’s Nutcracker

Air Force Band Holiday Concert

Sons of the Severn Sing Out

Riverdale’s Living Christmas Tree
Dec. 6-9–Experience the timeless story of Christmas thru stirring music, drama and thousands of synchronized lights at Riverdale Baptist’s production of The Living Christmas Tree, featuring the church’s choir, orchestra and drama department. Come early to visit the outdoor village w/refreshments and live animals and to decorate and sign a colossal Christmas card to send to the victims of the attack on the Pentagon. Little Theatre’s Miracle on 34th Street
Dec. 6-9–Remember when you believed in Santa? Those were days of simple security and faith in miracles. Candlelight Pub Crawl

Dec. 6, 9, 13 & 16–Meander betwixt taverns as Three Centuries Tours hosts the annual Christmas Candlelight Pub Crawl. The progressive feast is led by costumed guides, lighting the way w/lanterns thru historic downtown Annapolis.

Within the warmth of the taverns, enjoy a Christmas supper and raise wine glasses to toast the season, a winsome lass or a prosperous New Year. Colonial Players’ Christmas Carol
Dec. 6-9, 13-16–Colonial Players’ 20th annual production of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol delights young and old alike with the classic tale of Ebenezer Scrooge’s overnight redemption. This holiday classic is a gift from the Players to the community. Traditionally, tickets are snapped up on the day of sale, which was Nov. 17. Yuletide Merriment

Ballet Theatre of Maryland’s Nutcracker
Dec. 8, 15, 16–Dancing mice, fanciful fairies, winter royalty and an heroic heirloom. A funkadelic fantasy dream incurred by eggnog? Nay, it’s The Nutcracker, the beloved Christmas ballet based on a young girl’s foray into an enchanted dreamland. The Ballet Theatre of Maryland gives vibrant life to the classic, replete with world-class ballet talent, breathtaking costumes and surprises. As last year, Clara is National Ballet of China principal dancer Zhirui Zou, and her prince is former Novosibirsk Ballet principal dancer Sergei Vladimirov. Sing at Master Chorale’s Christmas Candlelight

Vibrant Voices Lift Lofty Lyrics

National Ballet’s Ellington Nutcracker
