Wind Ensemble Concert - Naval Academy Band
The Naval Academy Band Wind Ensemble (formerly known as Concert Band) will kick off the 2013 concert season with a performance at Annapolis High School on Thursday, January 31 at 7:30 p.m.
Lieutenant Commander Bruce McDonald will conduct a program of well-known works for the medium, including Lincolnshire Posy by Percy Grainger, Memorial to Lidice by Bohuslav Martinu, Florentiner March by Julius Fucík, and Barnum and Bailey’s Favorite March, by Karl King. Musician First Class Benjamin Coker will be the featured soloist, performing Joaquín Rodrigo’s Fantasia para un gentilhombre on guitar, and Ensign Patrick Hill will make his USNA Band debut, conducting Four Scottish Dances by Malcolm Arnold.
This concert is free and open to the public with no tickets required.
