Wind Ensemble Concert - Naval Academy Band

The Naval Academy Band Wind Ensemble will perform on Thursday, March 28 at 7:00 p.m. at the Bowie Center for the Performing Arts.

The Wind Ensemble, conducted by Lieutenant Commander Bruce McDonald, will present a program entitled 'Old and New' which will feature music from the baroque to the twentieth century. The concert will include Giovanni Gabrieli’s Sonata XVIII arranged by Musician First Class Christopher Buchanan, Toccata Marziale by Ralph Vaughn Williams, March, Op. 99 by Sergei Prokofiev, El Salon Mexico by Aaron Copland, and Short Ride in a Fast Machine by John Adams.

Chief Musician Anthony Asero will be the marimba soloist on Paul Creston’s Concerto.

This concert is free and open to the public with no tickets required.
