Oil Painters of America Eastern Regional Exhibition of Traditional Oils
The Oil Painters of America (OPA) will hold its 2013 Western Juried Exhibition of Traditional Oils at the McBride Gallery in Annapolis, Maryland, October 20 – November 17, 2013. Artists, collectors and art enthusiasts will find an unparalleled collection of traditional oil paintings representative of the high quality of work being produced by professional oil painters today. An opening reception will be held for artists, collectors, the public and press on Sunday, October 20, 2013 from
1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. with the awards presentation at
2:00 p.m. Paintings will be available for sale at the opening reception and throughout the duration of the exhibition.
This year’s show will feature approximately 100 paintings by some of North America’s best oil painters, including many OPA Master Signature Members as well as some of today’s most talented emerging artists.
This year’s Juror of Awards is Signature Artist Nancy Howe who resides in East Dorset, Vermont. Her paintings have become part of several museums’ permanent collections and have been the recipients of numerous national exhibition awards.
Total cash awards for this year’s Eastern Regional are $11,500, including a $4,000 Best of Show.
The public is invited to view these exceptional works of art throughout the exhibition period. All pieces in the exhibition are for sale. Gallery viewing hours during this event will be from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday – Saturday and 12:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., Sunday.
