Children’s Day on the Farm
At Jefferson Patterson Park’s 28th annual celebration of soil-toiling traditions, kids get creative at a craft table, meet farm friends at a petting zoo, ride ponies and make scarecrows. All ages see history roll by in a parade of antique farm machinery and cars (2pm). Live bluegrass, country and rock music plays all day alongside farm-life demonstrations. Learn how to spin and weave, fashion a tobacco doll, shell corn, keep bees and carve a duck decoy. 11am-5pm at the Park pavilion, St. Leonard. free admission; fee for some activities: 410-586-8501; www.jefpat.org.
