Summer Reading Rewards

Summer Reading Clubs at Anne Arundel and Calvert county public libraries give you ideas, company and rewards for summer reading. At every branch, clubs start this week for children, teens, families and adults. Each age group reads for prizes as well as pleasure.

Anne Arundel County Public Library

    Kid readers find book events as well new books each week at the library. Schools with 25 percent participation compete to win the Chesapeake Cup: www.aacpl.net/src11/kids.html.
    Teens who Like the Anne Arundel County Public Library Teen Facebook page by midnight July 2 enter a drawing for an iPod Touch: www.aacpl.net/src11/teens.html.
    Adults who review a book by July 30 join a lottery for a Nook e-reader: www.aacpl.net/src11/adults.html.

Calvert County Public Library

    1-2-3 One World, Many Stories opens books to babies and preschoolers.
    One World, Many Stories reaches out to kids through fifth grades.
    You Are Here extends to middle schoolers.
    Teen Summer Reading links teens to books and helps them complete their school’s summer assigned reading.
