Veterans’ Day holds special meanings for native Marylander Lillian Caplins, of Huntingtown, who was a cadet nurse at McGuire General Hospital in Richmond, Virginia.  Like her husband Alphonse, Lill was born in Baltimore of 100 percent Lithuanian stock.
